A Message from DHSS Secretary Kara Odom Walker, MD, MPH, MSHS
Dear Valued Stakeholders,
As part of my continued outreach to the community, I will hold a series of Stakeholder Town Halls this month and next. As you will see from the schedule (below), the sessions are by topic area, but I realize many issues that you are passionate about will cross over those areas. Please feel free to RSVP for more than one Town Hall and to share this invitation with others, including clients.
For those who are deaf or having a hearing impairment, we will have an ASL interpreter at the Disabilities Town Hall. At the Latino Community sessions, Spanish interpreters will be available for those who are not fluent in English. If you require an accommodation at any of the Town Halls, please let us know when you RSVP.
My second and third days as Cabinet Secretary were spent at Joint Finance Committee hearings, so I am grateful to have heard from so many of you regarding our budget. This time, I am eager to listen further as you talk about the issues that you are passionate about, the partnerships that can be enhanced or improved, and the role you envision for DHSS in building a stronger and healthier Delaware.
Please RSVP to my executive assistant Jaye Washington at jaye.washington@state.de.us.
Respectfully,
Kara Odom Walker, MD, MPH, MSHS
