Strengthening Partnerships in Health and Education: Delaware and the Nation
The University of Delaware is collaborating with the Vision Coalition of Delaware to bring you the 10th Annual Vision Conference, Strengthening Partnerships in Health and Education: Delaware and the Nation.
This occasion will launch the University's Partnership for Healthy Communities and bring together community members, educators, policy makers, and students to explore the intersection of education and healthy communities. We will be joined by special guest Joseph R. Biden, and we hope you will attend!
The morning sessions will include remarks from UD President Dennis Assanis, keynote speech by former Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Gary Stockbridge and the Vision Coalition, and a panel on the social determinants of health and education, with a focus on child poverty.
Throughout the day, we will be joined by UD students presenting on their research on health and education for students in the K–12 system.
The luncheon will feature the launch of the UD Partnership for Healthy Communities by former Secretary of Health and Social Services, and Director of the Partnership for Healthy Communities, Rita Landgraf.
Afternoon sessions will provide interactive platforms, including the option of small group discussions entitled, “Idea Exchanges,” as well as a panel by the Vision Coalition of Delaware on social and emotional learning.
The day will conclude with a community forum on the Partnership for Healthy Communities. This will be an opportunity for you to speak with the leadership of the partnership and provide recommendations for how the partnership will continue to grow.
