What: “First Responders Day” October 7, 2017

Event Overview:
Location: 10 S. James St, Newport, DE
Date: Saturday October 7, 2017

Time: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm OUTDOOR FREE EVENT

Host: Hope Street DE is a non profit 501(c)(3) that provides advocacy and addiction services. Hope Street DE is here to build bridges and break barriers from addiction. We help families find hope by giving them a blueprint to recovery in Delaware while ensuring they are treated with respect and dignity through the process. Our goal is to create healthier communities, change policy, bring a voice to people in recovery, and help design a sober living community in Northern Delaware, for continuous long term sobriety including housing with walkable services and a holistic care approach.

Objective:  We would like to honor the “First Responders” that have saved so many in and around our communities. “Their Mission is Our Lives”. A word of thanks is simply not enough, so we want to honor these heroes on this October Day and celebrate. We can only hope that one out of the many get the opportunity to meet the hero that saved their life. We believe this event will leave a positive impact and help our communities to reunite and break barriers.

Activities: Live Music, BBQ, raffles, award ceremony, guest speakers, contest, kids activities, lots of family fun!

Special invites: WDEL, WJBR, NCCPD, NCC Paramedics, Chief of Newport Police, Chief of NCC Public Safety, Governor John Carney, County Exec. Matt Meyer, Sen. Anthony Delcollo Mayor of Newport & other state and local officials.
