DCHI Clinical Committee Restructures

The DCHI Clinical Committee recently restructured from one body of Committee members to a smaller Steering Committee and an At Large Committee.

The Clinical Steering Committee meets bimonthly.  The next meeting is currently scheduled for July 16th.  All meetings are open to the public. The Steering Committee focus will encompass:

• Current issues and trends in primary care, including innovations in health information technology and payment reform.
• Facilitating cross-communication and integration of efforts among stakeholders to advance support for primary care and provide input into the development of health policy.
• Education and dissemination of information for both providers and consumers in collaboration with the other DCHI Committees and external stakeholders.

The At Large Committee will convene as needed.  Their focus includes:

• Providing broad-based input on key issues and priorities to support primary care.
• Inform Clinical Steering Committee recommendations to DCHI Board, Health Care Commission, and policymakers.
