Applications are now being accepted for the State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP).

The Delaware State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) provides educational loan repayment for Primary Care, Dental, and Mental Health Care providers working in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) in Delaware.

Since 2001, Delaware has been providing SLRP awards to eligible health care clinicians practicing in facilities that have been federally designated as health professional shortage areas.  As a result of uncertainty surrounding the availability of state funds for the required match, the SLRP program now requires the SLRP applicant and eligible practice sites to obtain the required matching funds for the program.  These funds must be from a non-federal source and can be obtained from donations from eligible practice sites, foundations, corporations, community organizations and/or philanthropies.

SLRP applications are accepted on a continuous basis throughout the year, with awards issued in August and December 2017.

Act now if you, or someone you know, is interested in applying for the program!  Efforts are being made to share this information broadly with key community stakeholders and Health Care Commission partners; so, please feel free to share this announcement.

Applications are accepted continuously, but applications for this award period are due June 30, 2017More information regarding the Delaware SLRP can be found by visiting the website. Here you can view the revised SLRP Program Guidelines, relevant applications materials and instructions on how to apply for the program.
